Labor Day Leftovers

The big tournament last weekend was Saturday's Red White and Blue hosted by Pudge.  So 23 players showed up to play but the host didn't.  Having been over served Friday evening he awoke at 5am to see rain so he flipped on the Weather Channel and the next thing he remembers was that the clock said 7:04.  He had missed his own tournament but couldn't escape the humiliation.  Otis had the three man team and lobbied hard for a blind draw to get a fourth score for his team but was shouted down.  Commish made a rare appearance and gave himself a "Philly" om 12 South when he hit his tee shot within inches.

Of course we have had a Pot Gamer miss a 1/64 inch putt this year so "Philly's" are illegal.

Sunday only had eleven players.  Reporter Billy D sent in this report: " shot 77 ..me BB and Brett won 11/2 sides ..Brett shot 76 ..BB shot 86 ..cheez shot 79 birdie shot 79 TJ shot 76..Skrock & his team won The other half"

Monday looked like a rain out when Pot Gamers arrived but by 7:20 the heavy rain stopped and light rain and no lightning was all 13 players needed to tee off on North.  It wouldn't be a Pot game without controversy right off the bat.  Mad Dog made 4 balanced teams of three players.  After they were announced Molasses Boy asked "which team am I on?" When nobody claimed him we knew we had a problem.  So Mad Dog quickly shuffled a few players and came up with new teams.  Team #1 Triple N, Birdie and Chimney sprinted around in 3hrs 12 minutes leaving a three hole gap in front of Team #2 Bear, Billy D and Cheez.  Team #3 Andy Mac, Molasses Boy and Skooger quietly smoked the field with a 2BB of even front -2 back to sweep all sides.  Even Team #4 with Skrocki, Jedi Master, House and Rama could not keep pace with Team #3.

There were 4 skins worth $15 a piece (Cheez, Jedi, Billy D and Andy Mac).  Low scores were Triple N 71, Andy Mac 73, Cheez 75, Bear 76, Jedi 76 and Molasses Boy 76.

Reminder that giving yourself putts is never allowed if you are playing a match against a fellow Pot Gamer.  You can only take a putt when you are putting for a double or higher and your score is not needed by your team.
