Saturday was a tropical 70 degrees at 7am, with lots of wind but 15 Pot Gamers woke up in the dark to try to win the "Pot". All the teams were close on the front at +4 or higher except Tractorman's team of TJ and Chimney which shot +2 (2 BB). On the back they decided to go lower with a -2 which was 2 shots clear of the next team. So the entire pot was theirs. They did have to collect all the drinks and distribute them but with pockets full of money they didn't seem to mind.
There were 6 skins worth $12 a piece by Mad Dog, TJ, Chimney, 40, House and Billy D. Two were "Roy Boy" skins, the only birdie they made all day. Low scores of the day were Mad Dog 75, Bear 76, Tractorman 77, Birdie 77 and Cheez 79. Each group had only one person who broke 80. Mad Dog fought off headache, backache, fever, sweats, missed putts, blurry vision and bad knees to win $2 from the Bear with a birdie on 18. YTD Mad Dog up $39
Sunday brought out 16 players to play a little golf before the opening day kickoff of the NFL. The team of Captain Cheez, Dougie, Commish and Fireman tied the team Captained by Tractorman consisting of Little Bow Pete, Billy D and Rama with a score of +4 in the 123 format. The team of Bear, Jed, Deacon and Chimney blitzed the back with a -2 which earned them 1/3 of the Pot. Tractorman's team stumbled a bit on the back with a +1 but it was one shot ahead of Bear's team at +5 for the total.
There were 6 skins worth $13 a piece by Jed, Rama, TJ, Little Bow Pete, Chimney and Skrocki. Low scores were Little "Bagger" Pete 76, Bear 77 and Skrocki 79. They were the only scores under 80.
CHEEZ is slower than Grasshopper.
