Red, White & Blue Labor Day

Although the Commish had the over/under at 24 Pot Gamers showing up only 21 did for the Labor Day Red, White and Blue (Saturday Edition) Tournament hosted by Pudge.  Most but not all were dressed appropriately in patriotic colors.  Usually if your captain plays well the team gets inspiration and winning follows, this week was no exception.  Pudge shooting 68 obviously inspired Billy D and Hagen who both shot 77 which resulted in them tying the front with -3 (2 BB) and sweeping the back -5 and overall -8.  The only team who was able to tie them was Sandy's team of Joey M and Skooger with a -3 on the front.  Sandy matched the low round of the day with 68.

There were 4 skins worth $25 a piece (Jay Esh 2, Skrocki 1 and Pudge 1).  Low scores beside the 68s were Mad Dog 72,  Cheez 72 and Tractorman 74.  Bear lost $7 to Mad Dog who had trouble putting the ball into the cup with his flatstick or it would have been a lot worse.  Mad Dog up $37 YTD.

If someone hosts a tournament should they really be taking 2.5 sides and a skin, somehow it doesn't seem right..just saying.

Deacon who claims to be Patriotic and politically far right leaning, decided to wear his canary yellow golf shirt created by the renown designer Pierre Sogay.  Not exactly something red, white or blue.  It did match his earrings though.

Pudge petitioned to Commish to give Xs to Deacon and House for inappropriate attire at his tournament.  House shows up in all white with coffee stains down the front of his shirt.  Dougie almost joined them with his hot pink shirt, but it was ruled that it was within red spectrum (barely).

Little Bow Pete still in shock from making a hole-in-one, knowing he has no chance of collecting the $600 pool by making another one in 2012.

Blue Tees had three birdies and no pars on back nine which is two more than his captain Bear got all day.
