Sunday Eleven

Now that September has arrived the Pot Game numbers are slipping.  Sunday only had 11 players show up.  Mad Dog suggested we play quota but was quickly shot down and the format was 2 BB.  Mini with Cheez, Deacon and House shot even par on the front which was good enough for a slice of the pot.  But the fast walking Triple N pushed his team of Tractorman and Billy D to a -2 on the back and -1 overall for two sides.  They rushed so much they finished 35 minutes ahead of the next group.  It took Billy D three Bud Lights and Tractorman three Barcardis to relax and catch their breath.  Their Captain hit a large bucket to punish himself for only shooting a 75.  Dave (Off The Record) Lanier of Keene Sentinel fame joined the Pot Game for the first time and found out what a "$20 beer" means.  He played well but had to drag around Bear, Chimney and Fireman to finish well off the mark.
There were 8 skins worth $7 a piece. Triple N 1, Bear 1, Dave 1, Tractorman 1, Mini 2 and Billy D 2.  Low scores of the day were Triple N 75, Tractorman 76 and Dave L 77.  House claimed to have shot his career low round of 77, but it turned out his insistence that he made a par on the 8th really belonged to the Deacon.  An X is in his future which will put him on ice for the rest of the summer.
Cheez agreed for the first time in 2012 to play the Bear dollar a hole.  Both hacked their way around to shot 81 Bear and 83 Cheez.  Making it a $2 win for the Bear.  Those dollars have already been sent out for framing.
