Bizzaro Monday

What was suppose to be a bright sunny day started out as a cloudy gray windy day, which should have been a clue as to what was about to happen.  Commissioner Lenny heard Fireman was playing so he included him on a team thinking he had twelve players only to find out he had eleven and no Fireman.  So Mad Dog took Cheez and Chuckie to make a strong threesome to try to hold off the other two foursomes.  But after Mad Dog played the first hole Lenny decided to change to 3 BB by doing a blind draw on the deck to see which D player would be assigned to Mad Dog's team.  Yikes...

Then on the first hole, Bear after a big drive knocks his second into the left bunker, rockets the next one off the roof of the bridge on 15 S and makes a smooth 7.  But it get s better.  He knocks it on three N, after two putts he goes to tap it in and the ball moves, so he gets a penalty and makes a double bogey 5.  But recovers by holing a 50 yard shot on 5 N for an eagle.  So after five holes he has a triple, a par, a double, a par and an eagle.  Double Yikes..

But the most bizzaro moment came on the 14th tee, when Little Bow Pete (formerly known as Pistol Pete) left his pull cart on the edge of the pond near the 13th green.  A gremlin or gust a wind moved the cart to the very edge and as Billy M and Bear watched it slowly started to roll down the slope and into the pond, handle first which meant when it hit the water it catapulted all the clubs into the water and out of the bag.  Pete who had his back to the action looked around in time to watch his head cover bubble up to the surface.  So with no other options he waded in shoes and all to retrieve all his equipment.  After all the clubs were found he looked into the muddy waters to find his skycaddie.  With his bag dripping and all towels soaked, he somehow managed to hit a great drive and parred the 14th.  Bear let him use his towel to wipe off all his grips and he played on with shoes 5 lbs heavier than when he started.  Triple Yikes.

Bear's team of Billy M, Little Bow Pete and Hilow won the front with a 3 BB of +3.  However Mad Dog's team of Cheez, Chuckie and the score of Lenny went +1 on the back and +6 total to take 2/3 of the pot.  Low Scores of the day were Bear 73, Mad Dog 74 and Cheez 79.

Mad Dog lost $3 to Bear despite making three birds on the back but Bear had an eagle and three birds himself.  So YTD Bear up $9.
