Father's Day is your free pass to play golf, drink a few beers, take a nap and then get to watch the US Open in prime time. Even Otis gets to play on Father's Day as his "honey-do-list" is put on hold. Mad Dog sits back and waits to see which son Mini or Luke will get him the best present. Billy D looks forward to waking up and see what special treat Gretchen has for him. Murt's daughter brings him cold Miller Lites while he recuperates on the couch. Cheez does what he does every day gets kicked out of his house for 5 hours to go play golf and leave Sally to have some peace and quiet. Commish gets a day off from feeding all the animals so he can arrive early to the Pot Game to practice his chipping. The Lebanese Lion gets to play golf with his son Mark in the Pot Game. Danny Roy might get to play golf if he submitted the proper permission paper work to his girlfriend two weeks in advance and promises to call her every 3 holes. Deacon worries about whether he can shoot under whatever the over/under score the Bookie will set (86 is the official number for Sunday June 17th). Birdie doesn't even ask if he can play golf he knows he can..maybe.
If your Father is still alive be sure to give him a call or a hug and for those of us who have lost our Fathers it is a time to remember and reflect on all the good times in the past.
Well said.
