The culvert is still washed out on E. Surry Road so getting to the club is
awkward at best coming in the Surry Dam Road, but for some it is near
impossible. Cheez twice in the last week never turned onto E. Surry
Road and ended up at the dam. But yesterday when he saw the flashing
highway alert that Bretwood was open 1.8 miles ahead off of 12 A, he
took that to mean that the main road was open and drove all the way down
to washed out culvert only to have to turn around.
Commish after chipping cost him in his match with Birdie has enrolled himself into the "Skull & Chunk No More" School of chipping in NY, he is taking Deacon with him for moral support.
Friday is the grand reopening of South course after the destruction of last week. Hats off the to the crew for making it playable in such a short time.
Billy D hasn't quite found his high draw but he has found a slight pull with power which is better that the cut. Shooting 77 today proved he is on the road to recovery.
Pistol Pete is officially retired as of June 1st. He is modeling his retirement after the Cheez and plans to play every day rain or shine.
Mad Dog announced that when your ball is near a hazard and you can't determine whether it is in or out between the red stakes use the mowed grass as your guide. If it is maintained you're not in hazard, if it is unmowed then consider it in. Local Rule based on hazards not painted with lines between stakes.
In honor of Pistol Pete's retirement, I suggest that his name be changed to "Bow Pete".
